Hair Loss Treatment Options for Women

While hair loss can be difficult to deal with for both sexes, clearly it is more difficult for women. While hair loss in women is less common than in men, many women suffer from it. While there is no perfect way to deal with hair loss, women have a number of options at their disposal to help conceal or treat hair loss.

One option is Minoxidil, also known as Rogaine. Before taking this drug, you should talk to a doctor to find out if it's right for you. Many people have had success using this product.

A more expensive option is a hair transplant. This also means enduring surgery, so for many this is not the preferred option, although it can be very effective.

Another option is the Lasercomb, but this will not produce dramatic results. This solution can work if there is only moderate hair loss or hair thinning.

There is also a product that makes the hair appear to be thicker, called Toppik. However, opinions on this product are very mixed and you have to reapply the product frequently.

One very promising treatment for hair loss in women uses all natural herbal ingredients, combined with the FDA approved Minoxidil. It is called Provillus, and they have a special formula for women. This seems to be the preferred way to treat hair loss among many women.

If none of these treatments prove to be satisfactory, there is always the option of getting a wig. However, this option is not the best if you want to hide your hair loss from a person you are intimate with.
