My dentists told me last night that I could take both Advil & Tylenol 3 together just in case one didn't work for me.

When I got home I was a little surprised about the advise he gave me so I call my pharmacist and he said "NO" do not take them together.

After doing some research last night some people were saying yes go ahead take it together and some were saying no don't do it.

I took 2 tabs of Tylenol 3 at around 5:40PM and then took 400mg of Advil at 6:30PM. I have to tell you it really did help me. It took away my fever and stopped my toothache within about 10 minutes of taking Advil.

I'm the type of guy that doesn't like taking pills but I didn't care last night because of how I felt. I just wanted to pain to stop.

My doctor has told me not to mix Tylenol with my regular anti-inflammatory Relafen, but I have done so without side effects. Like you, I tried waiting 2-3 hours from one to the other.

I agree with ward. I am an advil user. But i haven't tried taking 2 pain killers at the same time. It's better if consult your doctor on this.
